Team HBV at University of Washington's mission is to raise awareness about the dangers and common misconceptions of the Hepatitis B virus. To do this we implement outreach events that promote vaccination against and testing for Hepatitis B. Our hope is that providing education gives people the tools necessary to eliminate the disparity between what they think they know about HBV and the actual truth.

NOVEMBER 7, 2011 = Cupcake Fundraiser to Fund Hep B Education/Screening!

Our 1st Fundraiser of the school year included selling cupcakes during test week! : ] From 11:30AM - 3:30PM, cupcakes were sold in RED SQUARE for $1.50 each or $2.50 for a pair. Thanks to our amazing members and fellow colleagues we were able to raise for our total revenue...$68.57! Great Job everyone! What a great start to the school year.

December 3, 2011 = Talk Time @ CISC (Chinese Information and Service Center)

Most recently, Team HBV @ UW has held an educational event from 9:00AM - 12:00PM at the Chinese Information and Service Center (CISC) in Seattle's International District. We were given the opportunity to spend some time with our community members practicing Hepatitis B related English vocabulary while also working on some fun fill-in-the-blank worksheets : ] We had such a great time - we can't wait to schedule another day in the near future.
