Alena Groopman from the ALC will be on ABC 7 and she's extended the invitation to Team HBV @ UC Berkeley to be a part of the live 24-member audience. We will be showing off our organization as part of the live studio audience. We will wear our lovely Team HBV shirts (they are bright and get the message across). We are promoting the upcoming LIVERight Zumbathon at Stanford AND general awareness/education about hepatitis B, liver cancer and the Jade Ribbon Campaign. You will be a representative of the Asian Liver Center so please be on your best behavior and ask the most insightful questions. The studio audience for 7Live is a little different than a typical studio audience. Members will have the opportunity to volunteer to share their comments and opinions (on camera) and join the conversation of the show that day. Groups can also arrange to get an on-camera ‘shout-out’ and a behind the scenes tour.

Wong Fu Showcase

Team HBV and APATH would like to present the Wong Fu Showcase, a night filled with laughter, fun, Wong Fu Productions, of course, and Hepatitis B awareness.

Sales for the event will start April 12.
From April 12, 2010 - April 18, 2010, tickets will be $10.
From April 19, 2010 - April 25, 2010, tickets will be $12.
After April 25, if there are any tickets left, they will cost $15.

Hep B Awareness Week at UC Berkeley

We'll be hosting an entire week worth of events from a freeze near Sather Gate to a screening of Wong Fu productions new stuff!

The freeze will take place on Monday, April 26, 2010 at noon and last for 5 minutes. Volunteers receive a free T-shirt.

We will also be handing out fact balloons on Upper Sproul throughout the week. Also, check out the fact banners that will be posted on Memorial Glade.

The week concludes with the screening of some of Wong Fu's new shorts.

Eggster

Eggster is a non-profit student run organization located in Berkeley. Every year eggster is the largest free egghunt in Northern California. Not only is it free for all kids, it is also a learning festival with booths filled with educational activities! Team HBV will be in one of these booths educating parents and children about the importance of Hepatitis B screening and vaccination.
